Notes:
Axi Tint toughened is manufactured by a process of heating the glass to in excess of 600°C and rapidly cooling it using an extensive air treatment system. This results in the glass having strength nearly five times that of float glass.
Some Applications of use in accordance with current BCA requirements are:
Glass Balustrade, Glass Shopfronts, Pool Fencing, Shower screens, Windows and many other applications worldwide.
Toughened glass allows for large clear spans of glass with minimum fixings.
Axi Tint toughened can withstand temperature variations of 250°C in a range of -70°C to +300°C, this basically means that toughened glass can be used in appliances, splashbacks and where thermal stress breakage is going to be an issue.
Axiom advises Heat soaking to be used in accordance with European Standard EN14179-1. (see Axi Heat Soak).
